Matt Vinge

Director of Golf Instruction

Matt has over ten years of experience in the golf industry and has taught individuals of all skill levels including beginners, PGA Tour players and also NBA and NFL athletes. Mitchell Spearman hand-selected Matt as the Director of Golf Instruction because of his advanced level of knowledge and his ability to communicate.

As a club fitter, Matt has worked with many organizations leading the industry in innovation and market share in the production of golf equipment and has worked at some of Chicagoland’s finest private golf courses with Nike. 
As a player, Matt was a well accomplished high school and collegiate golfer, winning five recognized state and national events.

Matt has also had the honor of being interviewed by local, regional and national media organizations including The Score radio station, ESPN and Fox Sports about his extensive knowledge of golf instruction and club fitting.

James Parker

Senior Instructor

James has over ten years of coaching experience and has trained golfers of all skill levels from beginners to elite golfers. James who comes to TopGolf Wood Dale from England had the opportunity to be taught the art of the game and coaching by the top instructors in England and including TopGolf’s very own Mitchell Spearman.

As a player, James played on the PGA Europro Tour in Europe and broke courses records with 7 under (-7) par rounds. He also competed in the European Tour Qualifying School and just missed receiving his Tour Card by three shots at the Asian Tour Qualifying School.

Not only does James have a comprehensive knowledge of golf techniques from swing to putting but also a deep understanding of the psychology of golf. James has worked with a prominent sports psychologist to study the mental aspects of the sport.

Erik Cain

Certified Golf Instructor

Erik has two years of experience in the golf industry.  Before joining TopGolf Wood Dale, Erik was the Assistant Golf Professional at a private country club on the North Shore of Chicago. While with the country club, Erik taught private lessons for players ranging in skill levels from beginners to advanced players and specialized in Junior Golf instruction.

Erik is also a well-accomplished player, competing in numerous events in high school and Division-I collegiate golf.  As a club fitter, Erik is certified by several major club manufacturers, and is recognized as a Callaway Golf Custom Fitting Specialist.
