The
I.D. Ball System
Since 1997 over £20m has been invested in the development
of UK Centres and the research, development and testing of the enabling and tracking
technology behind TopGolf – the
I.D. Ball System. The system comprises a microchip in the core of a premium
two piece golf ball; ball dispensers that read and allocate golf balls to game
participants; a range of golf targets that continually scan for balls; monitor
screens in the player's bay to show
‘real time’ scores for all players and supporting software which
integrates the whole process.
This technology has enabled us to create the first golf ball in the world
to contain a microchip.
The tiny microchip in the ball has no effect on the weight
or flight of the ball. Each ball can be registered to an individual player and
identified by I.D.Ball Sensors™
in the bay and target areas, providing information and scores onto the screen
in the player's bay.
Customer
Loyalty
TopGolf's state-of-the-art I.D. Ball technology drives the

play, their scoring activity, handicaps as well as making special offers available
to those that visit frequently.
